The concept of a night market is definitely not new to London, around for a while these little hubs of twilight activity have been keeping our bellies and cupboards full for years. However, with Brixton Night Market, Londoners can expect a little bit of a twist.
As a Community Interest Company, the project aims to allow new traders into this highly competitive market scene, resulting in refreshing diversity and maybe a few unexpected treats. As a bonus, customers can relish that warm sense of well-being, knowing the fantastic effect biting into a Fundi Pizza or spending that little bit too long at The Brownie Bar has on the local economy.
Taking place once a month at Windrush Square, right in the heart of Brixton, expect some heavy weight champions of the London street food scene like the Donostia Social Club jostling for space alongside newer foodies like the Choi Boys.
A full list of traders will be released on Twitter nearer the time of the event. Brixton Night Market will take place on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of April.
