The seasons are changing and we have embraced it with welcoming pasty arms; in the spirit of change, London restaurant Almeida, has also had a change but in their case it took place in the kitchen.
Tommy Boland will be the new head chef, bringing with him his experience from the kitchens at The Square, Le Cinq in Paris and Tom Aikens. He has created an ingredient led menu which will offer simple British food with French influences. Think Pan Fried Sea Bream with farfalle, clams and sea vegetable for mains and Chocolate and Jaffa Pave, Orange Sorbet, Muscavado Crumble for dessert.
Almeida is also embracing Spring and getting green by growing their own herb garden sprouting lavender, mint, thyme and lemon verbena. Expect to see the new herbs garnishing your cocktails and tea infusions.
