How much do you spend on food each day? £2.50 for coffee – because who can really get to 10am without caffeine? £5 on lunch easily – the thought of food is the only way to get you through the morning, and then come 4pm comes the craving for sugar.
So how about if we told you that you could only live on £1 a day for all food and drink for 5 days? Hard isn’t it? Well that’s exactly what the Global Poverty Project are encouraging you to do with Live Below The Line; to raise vital funds to support anti-poverty projects around the world and to change our perspectives about extreme poverty.
So to raise awareness Save The Children will be hosting a pop-up food stall tomorrow at Berwick Street Market, Soho. The pop-up will be selling an array of delicious dishes for just £1, inspiring people to take on the Live Below The Line challenge for Save the Children from Monday 28 April to Friday 2 May. The food will be provided by classic French traiteur, Madame Gautier, with dishes including Poulet Provençale, Confit Pork and Spiced Fennel, Mushroom and Bean Ragout.
So take the challenge, visit the pop-up and raise money. Simple.
