ContiniArtUK Opens New Gallery

Five thousand square foot in Central London is hard to come by, yet ContiniArtUK has occupied two floors of 105 New Bond Street in the heart of Mayfair.

The new gallery will exhibit a permanent collection of both contemporary and modern art by artists including Fernando Botero and Pablo Picasso alongside the inaugural exhibition of sculptor Igor Mitoraj. The artist is known for his monumental public sculptures displayed at London’s British Museum, Canary Wharf, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the ruins of Agrigento in Sicily.

His exhibition The Traces of Time will be displayed from 24th May until 22nd September. The definitive collection of fragmented bodily sculptures reminiscent of archaeological artifacts relating to the paradox of humans and the nature of time. Mitoraj will grace the opening with his presence alongside THT Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and other high profile guests that will be announced in the week prior.
