After the success of the Notting Hill branch, Bill Granger is back with his second Granger & Co restaurant and this time he has chosen Clerkenwell to be the next home of his all-day eatery.
The menu features a little bit of this and little bit of that, taking inspiration from right across the globe, which is why you’ll find dishes inspired by the cuisine of Hawaii, Sydney, Italy and Japan. But whilst the smorgasbord of dishes and ingredients may have different origins, what you will notice is that it is wonderfully healthy! You’ll find cold-pressed juices, salads including tea-smoked salmon, green tea noodles, samphire and daikon and even the pizzas can be eaten guilt-free; think potato, tofu, parmesan and ‘dancing’ bonito sauce, that’s Bill’s favourite by the way, it reminds him of his time spent in Tokoyo as an art student!
The décor of the restaurant was devised by Sydney designers Meacham Nockles McQualter, it’s relaxed, light and airy with soft leather banquettes whilst 1960’s Italian lamps and artwork from Australians, Polly Borland and Eliza Hutchinson adorn the walls.
So with the Bank Holiday just around corner, we think there is only one thing to do, welcome Granger & Co to the Clerkenwell neighbourhood with a spot of brunch there.
