On Saturday 21st June, creative team Shuttlecock Inc are allowing you to travel back in time. The Last Frontier is an 1899 Alaska Seafood pop-up experience set to take the shores of Pimlico Gardens by storm.
For one day, and one day only, the Alaskan settlement of Nome will be uprooted and replanted in the centre of London bringing along its abundance of fresh and sustainable seafood. Sockeye salmon, the mighty king crab, black cod and halibut will be amongst the visitors. Guests will be able to not only sample this seafood, but a team of chefs from award-winning London restaurants will be on hand to teach you how to prepare, cure and smoke fish. Alongside lessons, demonstrations and tastings there will be other fun family-orientated events such as panning for gold, treasure hunts, storytelling and live music.
When daylight fades, eighty lucky diners will be invited to a gourmet seafood banquet for food, drink and merriment. The menu includes Wild Alaska King Crab on Toast and Roast Wild Alaska Halibut. As for puddings think Herb Cake served with Almond ice cream and fresh summer berries.
Go back in time and space and enjoy some tasty responsibly sourced produce.
