In can't be denied that Londoners do love their afternoon tea, but sometimes a simple scone and cup of Camomile just don't cut it. Paramount, the restaurant and bar situated on the 32nd floor of Centre Point, launches a liquored up alternative to traditional afternoon tea, it's like Londoner's two favourite things in one. The 'High Spirits' Afternoon Tea is now served everyday between 2:30 and 4:30 pm and includes alcohol in every element.
Spiked sandwiches include gin and orange-cured salmon with lemon butter on lemon bread; whisky-smoked ham with whole grain mustard on tomato bread and a Bloody Mary concoction served on whole grain bread. Scones will be dressed with Cointreau and orange jam (now we're talking!).
The selection of scrumptious cakes and pastries will include tipsy treats such as Coffee Baileys and Cream created with Bailey's mousse, chocolate mousse topped with a crunchy caramel and coffee crumble, and the Raspberry Cranachan fixed with whiskey crème fraîche, raspberry and Chambord purée sprinkled with crunchy oats.
£28 per person, or £42 including a cocktail of your choice.
