Marilyn Monroe once said: “Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world.” It may have been a bold claim to make but not one that anybody should take lightly, with a pair of shoes having the ability to make or break morale very quickly. Indeed, Jimmy Choo, who we like to think knows a little bit about shoes once compared shoes to the foundations of a building, noting “if the foundations aren’t right, the building won’t stand upright, and if a woman’s balance isn’t right, nothing else is.”
Yes, the right pair of shoes can make you conquer the world (or at least your world), and now you can harness some of that shoe power, with the opening of the Jimmy Choo inspired afternoon tea at Prêt-à-Portea, The Berkeley. The elements that make up this edible Jimmy Choo collection, have been motivated by the fashion brand’s latest collection and are set to be any budding fashionista’s dream. You can officially have your shoes and eat them too, with each component of the traditional afternoon tea being specially crafted so as to resemble the iconic accessories from Jimmy Choo.
Immortalising the brand, this fashionable tea will be abound with mini pointy toe stiletto pump biscuits, monochrome chic Cayla zebra print bags in chocolate moelleux and dark orchid multi-coloured satin Dwyer ankle boots in a rhubarb mousse, taken straight from the runway. Whilst the designs may almost be too beautiful to consume, this should not deter you. Having been created by the Prêt-à-Portea team, it is only when you eat the edible accessories that their true powers can be released and you can start that conquering!
The designer tea will run until the 26th November and a must addition to your fashion diary.

Florence was once kicked out of ballet for being a little too over-enthusiastic. She's just landed in London, and whilst she is not going to be the winner of Strictly Come Dancing anytime soon, she can still be found tapping her Chelsea boots all over the capital.
