Yes, Austen lovers on 22nd October, The Kensington Palace will be host to a Baroque inspired fashion show abound with elaborate corsets, extravagant silhouettes and structured tailoring.
Set in the palace’s Vanbrugh designed Orangery, the event is part of ‘The Glorious George’s’ showcase, celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Hanoverian ascension to the throne. Whilst inspired by the Georgian period, the collection will be anything but historic, with each piece highlighting the relevance of the Georgian trends on the fashion scene today. Think, dense florals, sumptuous lace and graphic prints and you are on the right track or should we say catwalk.
