The Handbook

If you have any foodies in your family or like ourselves just cannot resist some delicious delicacies, then head straight to The Taste of London Winter Festival on 20th November, where you will be treated to four days of food extravagance.

The festival, which will be housed at Tobacco Dock is themed around ‘Forgotten Food’, with celebrity chefs cooking up a storm using ingredients, skills and techniques that have previously been ignored in the kitchen. Not only will they be showing you where to find these ingredients (did someone say foraging?), they will also show you how to use them in no time you might become the next Michel Roux Jnr-who happens to be attending the event himself!

Partnering with Electrolux, The Handbook recommends heading to the Taste Theatre where you will find celebrity chefs such as Raymond Blanc and Monica Galletti cooking up some winter treats. With Christmas just around the corner, it is the perfect place to wrap up warm and gain some inspiration about how to shake up your traditional Christmas roast.  Do this with a mug of Henry Westons Mulled Cider and special Laurent Perrier Cocktails and you are guaranteed to keep toasty whilst you explores the stands.

And for those of you that are yet to secure yourself a place at The Chiltern Firehouse, make sure to look out for head chef Nuno Mendes for a bite of what it is all about! Speaking of The Chiltern Firehouse, there will be top restaurants in abundance at this special event. With every food option available to taste from the steak at Hixter to tapas of Ember Yard, in no time you will have ticked off a handful of restaurants on your bucketlist. And once the main course has been served, you must find some room for dessert with a chocoholic stand headed by the executive chef of Gü. Sign us up.

The Festival will be running from Thursday 20th November—Sunday 23rd November.
