You must have heard about Christabel by now? You know the catering and events genius who also hosts her own supper clubs and brunches? Well now she is heading over to Notting Hill to host her Mad Hatter Brunch at the Little Yellow Door – the pop-up based on a fictional flat share.
Taking place on Saturday 29th November (between 1pm-6pm), rather than fall down the rabbit hole like Alice, guests just have to knock on the elusive yellow door, where they will be able to sit down to crispy bacon with maple syrup, scrambled eggs with spicy honey and thyme, pancakes, chocolate brownies – this is the hearty sort of brunch we long for. But it’s not just about the food, it’s also about the glittering menus, the hand-painted plates (made by Christabel herself) and the giant flowers and foliage that decorate the tables – well this is a Mad Hatter’s brunch after all.
After brunch, the Mad Hatter’s Party will start at 3pm with cocktails provided by The Little Yellow Door and are inspired by the flat mates’ favourite TV shows such as My Name Is Earl, an Earl Grey infused gin, citrus, egg white and sugar short drink served in a teacup and saucer with biscuits on the side. There will be music from DJ Nicola Marian Robinson, film screenings and a vintage disco!
The perfect way to cure your Friday night hangover, spend your Saturday afternoon and get ready for your Saturday night out!
