Putting the Port in Portobello

If you find yourself in Notting Hill this Christmas and need to rest your weary feet in between the search for that last present for the person you really don’t want to buy for but have to (most likely the neighbours/office secret santa) , then we have the perfect remedy – starting today until Christmas Eve, The Red Lemon pub is hosting its Port and Portobello Bar upstairs in the Blue Room.

Decked out in decorations and with a crackling fire it will be open noon -8pm daily and will offer a cosy respite from said shopping/grim weather with port, sherry and local ales paired with bar snacks. Try mini mince pies with Gonzalez Byass Nectar/ Pedro Ximenez or how about stilton and onion marmalade on toast with Graham’s 10yr Tawny Port.

On the 6th December they will also be hosting a brewery tour and tasting event at The Portobello Brewing Co. before heading back to the Port and Portobello Bar to try bites and drinks in the snug.  After a few drinks, you can head back out to get that last present, or just stay and continue, a box of chocolates is bound to suffice.
