You must have heard about Carousel by now… if not shame on you. Situated in Marylebone it’s the brainchild of Shuttlecock Inc, a permanent pop-up, where chefs and groups take up residencies to show off their menus and skills to Londoners alongside, performances and music. And now it is the turn of Selin Kiazim, who takes up the reins following on from the likes of Javier Rodriguez, Giorgio Locatelli and Paris Pop-Up.
Since her 6 month residency at Trip Kitchen, Londoners have been lusting over Selin’s Turkis- Cypriot influenced food, and her residency which launches today can’t come soon enough, running until 22nd November, Selim’s menu includes the starters such as House-made bread, Medjool date butter, courgette, feta and mint fritters with sour cream, for the main course expect, pearl barley, kale, sour cherries, yoghurt, chilli butter and pecorino and finish off with pistachio sponge, caramelised white chocolate, barbeque quince and filo shards.
We’re just hoping that after this, Selin will announce her own restaurant, but for now head to Marylebone, Carousel is the place to be.
