Art Spas for The Mind

Art Spas for The Mind

Forget book clubs, it is all about art clubs this year with the introduction of The London Art Studies Lecture series at The Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge and Koffmann’s at The Berkeley. The series has been created to provide art lessons to those of us who do not have the time to sign up for a lengthy course but want to learn in a fun and sociable way- meaning your lunch break is about to get a whole lot more exciting. And don’t worry, actual artistic skill is not a pre-requisite with the classes focusing on art history as opposed to practice.

Combined with cocktails or coffee, the lessons take the guise of ‘power hour’ lectures and discussions centring around a theme each week. With cocktails and coffee on the cards, you can’t really go wrong and before you know it you will be able to tell your Grayson Parry from your Picasso’s. If you head to Koffman’s you will also be treated to a delicious two course lunch. Described as one guest as a spa for the mind, the lessons have been designed to be fun and interactive allowing you to forget daily life…at least until you leave the class and hit Harrods. Oh and for all of you that don’t already know, thanks to Kate Middleton, history of art is legitimately cool and interesting. Well, if Kate says so…

The talks will take place from the 20th January and are available to book via The London Art Studies website.
