Opening next March in London Fields is Il Cudega an Italian deli, wine bar and restaurant that will be focusing entirely on the produce of Italy’s Lombardy region. Run by two passionate Italians, Giovanni Brighi and Luca Gaggioli, they’ll be cooking up dishes famous Italian dishes but also some lesser well known ones such as Rustin Nega which is veal roasted in white wine, to you and me. Delicious!
However they are after your help, they want to create a communal outdoor space which will be shared with two adjoining railway arches. The courtyard will have fruit trees, a vegetable garden, seating areas and a food stall that will be cooking up risotto all day long. In order to do this they’ve taken to Indiegogo to raise funds and everyone who donates gets a reward, from a sneeky preview of the restaurant with a table at the soft launch, to chocolate salami or even a Milanese cooking course!
