You’ve made it through the week, hurrah and tomorrow is Saturday huzzah! Perhaps you’re off Christmas shopping or maybe you’ve done it all and you’re feeling rather smug and now you’re catching up with friends before Christmas, either way make sure you head over to Shoreditch to Jago for a much needed pit-stop.

Having recently launched, the all-day restaurant has Ashkenazi influences and the menu reflects Head Chef Louis Solley’s East London Jewish root as well as the culinary heritage of the Ashkenazi diaspora which includes Germanic and Slavic influences as well as wider European and American flavours.

Highlights are said to include salt beef and chrain (a horseradish and beetroot relish), veal cheek goulash served with orzo and green harissa, whilst for pudding we can’t wait to try toasted rice pudding and rhubarb compote. Or stop by for breakfast to fuel your day shopping and get stuck into fresh figs, goat’s curd, honey and toasted coriander or baked eggs, spiced beans and peppers. The interior is pretty impressive too with a simplistic design and futuristic curved glass roof, designed by award-winning Spanish architects Selgas Cano. Hooray for weekends!
