Hands up if you’ve been guilty of lusting after designer labels, sneaking into sample sales or getting clothes envy flicking through a magazine? Well if so then we have something sure to tickle your fashion bone,  in celebration of the launch of the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum this week, the Berkeley Hotel has created it’s very own Prêt-à-Portea; a sumptuous afternoon tea inspired by the godfather of British fashion’s most iconic designs.

First up, it’s those ‘armdadillo’ shoes made famous by the likes of Lady Gaga. Tuck in to the fancy footwear which has been remodeled in chocolate biscuit with cream icing and edible sparkles. Next on the list is the much-loved feather Butterfly Hat by Philip Treacy, made consumable with a decadent dark chocolate mousse set on a sablé bretol, glazed with a chocolate miroir and decorated with red sugar-spun butterflies.

So beautiful you won’t want to eat it, it’s definitely one to provoke serious Instagram food envy.
