Having a picnic in a warm picturesque spot is such a simple and enjoyable thing to do over the summer months. Well, until you hear that dreaded loud rumble in the sky. Thunder only happens when it’s raining, or just about to. Before you know it the heavens have opened and you’re running for cover. Soggy scotch egg anyone?
For a relaxed picnic atmosphere without the worry of our unpredictable downpours head to Shoreditch’s bar and restaurant, The Jones Family Project this summer. They are celebrating the great British Picnic with an indoor picnic popup, set against an impressive ‘sunny meadow’ backdrop.
Whatever the weather you can sprawl out and relax on the AstroTurf lawn or picnic benches with a gourmet hamper of treats. Specially prepared for you and your group size you can enjoy sausage rolls with red wine onion jam, beetroot hummus with spicy avocado salsa and tortilla chips plus a delicious combination of wraps and salads. To satisfy a sweet tooth they also include Anna’s triple chocolate brownie with fresh berries and dulce de leche. The hamper also includes a bottle of Wild, an elderflower spritz with perry and a dash of gin – which trusts us is delicious.
Sounds more appealing than warm beer and soggy sandwiches doesn’t it?
