So you fancy yourself as a bit of a wine connoisseur, think you know a thing or two about beer and know at least one fact about gin? So what about tequila? Oh not so much.
It might be a bit of a Marmite drink, but that’s because you’ve probably had it on a big night out forced on you by your friends with far too much salt to the chants of ‘down it’. Sounds like you need to head to Azteca, the Mexican Cantina on the Kings Road is home to over 120 different tequilas, so you could call them experts in the drink. They’ve been around for 20 years and have welcomed everyone through the doors from rock stars to royalty, to just the locals.
The part you need to know though is that they do masterclasses. Available for classes between 6 and 30 the classes start with cocktails and snacks on arrival (always good to make a great first impression) before the Azteca experts take you through the history and production of tequila and mezcal, looking at 7 different ones in particular. Someone is going to look impressive with all their knowledge (that’s you if you weren’t sure).
If you can’t make it to a masterclass then head there on a night out for great Mexican beers and food, delicious cocktails and they also have great live music and DJs.
Masterclasses are for 6- 30 guests, to book: 020 352 4987, Info@aztecalatinlounge.com
