Forget alcohol fuelled parties, Le Meridien Piccadilly are championing the cake fuelled parties, it’s all about the sugar highs not the hangovers.
Inspired by the French regal decadence of years gone by, each Sunday will see a lavish patisserie party held in The Oak Room Lounge. Things get started with a glass of sparkling wine (ok so alcohol fuels it a bit) before unlimited (yes unlimited) sandwiches, cakes and lashings of tea. Sandwiches include the classics such as Scottish smoked salmon and roast beef and rocket but it’s the cakes that have grabbed our attention (as ever).
There is nothing more we like to see than a table positively drowning in cake and Chef de Cuisine Michael Dutnall has created a menu of cakes that will do just that. Alongside weekly specials, signature cakes will include a vanilla and mixed berry Naked cake, rainbow cake, two-toned macarons, red velvet cupcakes and a chocolate fudge cake. And just remember it is unlimited. Unlimited.
The tea will be accompanied by a specially curated playlist to provide the perfect party soundtrack and there will be a dressing up too; we’re talking wigs, costume jewellery and gloves so you can capture your French look on camera.
Time to overdose on cake.
The Patisserie Party is served every Sunday 3-6pm.
