The Alice In Wonderland Bar Launches

There aren’t many people in the world who are cooler than the awesome, straight up gangsta that is Gwen Stefani. Gwen likes ‘Alice In Wonderland.’ In fact, she likes it so much that she based her ‘What You Waiting For?’ video around the book. Therefore, by The Handbook’s questionable maths, Lewis Carroll’s novel plus Stefani’s seal of approval equals ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed events being cool. It seems the crowd at The Vaults agrees with us, as to celebrate the books 150th anniversary, they are launching The Wonderland Bar.

This is the perfect place to enjoy some quirky cocktails and delicious pies as well as listening to live music down the rabbit hole. Plus, there are a whole host of kooky delights that the Mad Hatter himself would be envious of. Installations include a hedge maze, flamingo croquet, aerial acrobats and immersive theatrical performances from the bar’s cast. We cannot begin to fathom how flamingo croquet works, but we bet it is bloody brilliant!

While ‘Alice In Wonderland’ is seen as one for the kids, The Vaults know that sometimes, us grown ups (still getting used to calling ourselves that) like something a bit stronger than tea. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the Wonderland Lates series features live bands, DJs and live video mix mashup sets from Ithaca until 2am. In a genius move, these nights will be accompanied by cocktails from Bourne & Hollingsworth and food from Pieminister. Forget burgers or kebabs, pies should definitely be the new post-night out comfort food! With cocktails, pies and even acrobats, you’re sure to leave The Wonderland Bar grinning like a Cheshire cat…

The Wonderland Bar is open now until the end of August and entry is free.
