Everybody loves the 80’s, the decade of WTF fashion – yes, we mean giant shoulder pads, big hair and neon leg warmers. However, there’s something secretly great about all those fashion faux-pas and the music of the moment. This month, Bluebird is helping you fulfil all your 80’s cravings teaming up with the 1980’s-inspired nightclub Maggie’s, to create an 80’s summer in Chelsea.
The collaborating duo will be hosting the ultimate retro pop-up bar, complete with Rubick’s cube tables, bean bag chairs, ‘80’s arcade games and a line-up of DJ’s from Wednesday to Saturday playing hit ’80’s tunes! So start practising your vogueing!
The Bluebird bar team will be serving up Ciroc-based cocktails alongside Moet et Chandon Brut Imperial, whilst decked out in Maggie’s signature visors and bright neons as a tribute to the era. The signature cocktails on the menu will include Smack Daddy, a punchy blend of Ciroc, Galliano, passion fruit juice and purée, vanilla syrup, topped with Moet et Chandon Brut Impérial NV and Purple Rain; a clear winner made with Tanqueray No. TEN, elderflower, blackberries, apple juice, and lime juice, topped with Moet & Chandon Brut Impérial NV.
Now we’re not ones to boss people around, but we demand that you put on your best jumpsuit, backcomb your bouffant and get on down to Maggie’s at Bluebird…just watch out for the funny looks on the King’s Road.
Maggie’s At Bluebird will open on Monday 27th July.
