Here at The Handbook, we all love a good cocktail, so when we found out about this Mai Tai Masterclass gracing the London scene, we just knew we had to tell you about it!

London’s first Polynesian inspired restaurant and bar, Trader Vic’s, is launching a series of ‘Rum Cocktail Master Classes’ for the summer. Trader Vic’s is known worldwide for its famous 1944 Mai Tai cocktail, which boasts rum as a main ingredient and so is the perfect venue for those wishing to learn from the experts! The master class will begin with an introduction to the world of rum. Guests will be led on a tasting journey of rums, mapping out the flavour profile of each, before learning the magic of Mai Tai making. Don’t worry if you’re a novice, as The Trader Vic’s ‘Rum Cocktail Master Classes’ are suited to all levels of rum knowledge and offer an entertaining event for parties, with guests encouraged to wear their own Hawaiian shirts – choose wisely though, there’s a fine line between ironic and plain garish!

Mai Tai Masterclasses are running throughout July, catering for up to 16 people, with a minimum of four needed.
