Let’s not get it twisted, Tex-Mex and real Mexican cuisine are very different things and InterContinental London Park Lane is about to school you on how with a little help from the Mexican embassy and Aeromexico.
Two top chefs have been flown over from award-winning foodie hot spot, Frida in Grand Velas Riviera Maya, especially to give London diners an authentic taste of Mexico. The week-long Mexican pop up will be a celebration of the creativity of Mexican cuisine, focusing on a delicate balance of traditional ingredients with modern techniques. Treats on the menu will include ‘shredded venison, crunchy corn and garlic mashed avocado’ and ‘baked cheese with poblano chili jam’, along with more traditional examples ‘rissole roasted suckling pig’ and ‘Mexican mole Mousse’.
Diners can choose from the a la carte or set menu which starts at £44, vegetarians need not feel forgotten as there will be a separate menu for them too.
Flavours of Mexico will take place 12-19th September at the Cookbook Café in InterContinental London Park Lane. For more information on this festival, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0207 318 8563.
