There’s something about al fresco dining in the colder months that makes us feel like we’re in a ski resort. Wrapped up in big scarves with great company and great food is a pretty ideal situation for something a little different and luckily for us, STOREYS West London are extending their summer rooftop sessions until mid-October so we are saying goodbye beach body, hello burgers and subs.
Housed on the former BBC building’s multi-storey carpark, visit whilst you can because in 2017 it will be transformed into a new development including homes, gym and restaurants, with the rooftop turning into a swimming pool for a new Soho House. Throughout the summer, STOREYS has brought a very east London vibe to White City with reclaimed materials and a tower of old televisions to remind us of the broadcasting history of the building. The imaginative and varied array of street food stalls have been spiced up for the extension with new traders including ‘Kothu Kothu’ Roti from Sri Lanka and Seychelles street food from ‘Vinn Goute’. We also love the sound of the curry dinner being hosted by blogger behind A Little Lusciousness, Rosie Llewellyn, and comedian Hardeep Sing Kohli (make sure you book) and for something a little less indulgent but no less memorable, the morning rooftop yoga sessions on Saturdays from 9am – 10am will definitely make our weekend to-do-list.
STOREYS is open until Sunday 11 October. Free entry but Q jump and cocktail for £10 in advance
