Here at The Handbook we’re not even ashamed that we’re already excited about Christmas and yes we are aware that there is still over two months to go… Harrods are also getting to the Christmas spirit with the news that they are launching a festive tea in the Georgian restaurant at the start of November. Step off the chilly streets of London (we are meant to be having the coldest winter in fifty years, apparently) and into the elegant Georgian.
Spend the afternoon eating scones and sandwiches including turkey, rocket leaves and spiced pear chutney, maple glazed Wiltshire ham with Montgomery cheddar and sausage and red cabbage tartlets. Cakes include a snowflake Christmas cake, sparkling baubles, Linzer mince pies and a frosty meringue snowman. Of course you can add a glass of Champagne and why wouldn’t you? It’s Christmas after all. There is also a children’s version too, which includes mini sausage rolls, gingerbread men and glitter snowballs. So now tell us you aren’t just a little bit excited?
The festive afternoon tea is available from the 6th November
