London Fashion Week might be finishing today but that doesn’t mean that you have to stop being the sartorial don that you are…the streets are your catwalk and all that. And what isn’t finishing is The Montagu’s Haute -Tea which is running until March 31st.

Combining food with all the other things we love, (food and art, food and sport etc) is one of our favourite things, so food and fashion is definitely up there. With a client list that includes the likes of Dita Von Teese, Kylie Minogue and Diana Ross, designer Antony Price has teamed up with The Montagu to create three bespoke dresses which are to be displayed alongside the afternoon tea in celebration of the tea.

Paying homage to the most influential style icons, the Haute-Tea will start with the likes of smoked salmon sushi, leopard print brioche with foie gras, chicken liver parfait, goat’s cheese mousse tartlet and roast beef with horseradish.

Next up will be a vanilla and liquorice panna cotta topped with a ‘My Fair Lady’ hat as well as Little Black Dress biscuit in honour of Audrey Hepburn. Marilyn Monroe’s ‘flying skirt’ is reimagined as a white iced biscuit and as a nod to her saying ‘give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world’, there is a shimmering chocolate gold stiletto. A leopard print dress biscuit is inspired by Bette Davis and Elizabeth Taylor’s words ‘big girls need big diamonds’ appear as a red velvet diamond studded macaroon. If you still have space, then there are scones with clotted cream and jam too… 

We might not always been on point, but we can always eat and we’ll take that.
