Ever drooled at a scene in a movie? Does the pasta Julia Roberts eats in the Italian part of Eat, Pray Love give you serious carb cravings? Bridget Jones have you reaching for the Ben & Jerry’s? We bring you news of an event that combines two of our favourite things: film and food. PECKish is a supper club with a twist that serves the audience of a cult classic film a 5-course meal, inspired by the movie itself. No more on-screen food envy.
Each month shows a different film – March is the turn of one of the all-time greats, Forrest Gump. For the two hours and twenty two minute duration of the movie, guests will be served five delicious courses at tables so you can forget visions of trying to balance a plate on your knee. Hope you like shrimp. On arrival, a gift box will hint at what to expect in the evening ahead, a film-related prop as well as a cocktail to get the evening off to a good start. We don’t have much more information than that to reveal but get your tickets as soon as you can – it will sell out fast! When you think tickets to a standard cinema with sticky carpet costs £15, it’s really no question.
PECKish presents Forrest Gump, Thursday 31st March, 7pm-11pm at Shoreditch Town Hall
