The Blues Kitchen’s Rib Fest

Made your plans for the Bank Holiday weekend yet? Decided what you’re going to do for that wonderful extra day on Monday? If you haven’t we have something for you, if you have, it’s time to cancel them. Starting on 28th March and running until the 31st March The Blues Kitchen on Acre Lane is going to become your one stop shop and holy grail for all things ribs related as they launch Rib Fest 2016. 

Pitmasters from London’s street food scene and award-winning chefs from the US will be taking up residency outside the Brixton Blues and firing up a custom-built, 108-inch smoker to cook up some delicious BBQ.  Kicking things off will be DJ BBQ with live music from Dave James’ Acoustic Blues, throughout the week the likes of The Rib Man will be there serving up ribs doused with his ‘Christ on a Bike’ sauce and Shotgun BBQ’s Brad McDonald will be cooking up his 16 hour Memphis-style smoked ribs. If you can’t make it down to Brixton then shame on you, but you can make up for it by heading to the Blues Kitchen in Camden and Shoreditch and getting you hands on Short Beef Rib and two stacks of the St Louis Pork Rib for £10 which sounds pretty darn tasty to us.

Rib Fest takes place 28th -31st March at The Blues Kitchen, Brixton.
