The Handbook
The Handbook

Easter is over but bunnies are still alive and hopping on Old Park Lane. The Playboy Club is relaunching its iconic Salvatore’s Bar, giving it a whole new lease of life. If walls could talk, The Tale Bar, as it is now known, could certainly tell a story of two. Although The Playboy Club has only been at its current home since 2010, Hef’s empire has been creating a buzz in the city since the first international Playboy casino opened at 45 Park Lane in the Swinging Sixties. In fact, July this year will mark 50 years since it opened.

As glamorous as you’d expect, The Tale Bar is decked out in gold, camel and teal with vintage photographs splashed across the walls. The air of exclusivity remains but the bar is open to non-guests as well as guests, bringing it to a new audience. A classic cocktail menu adds to the sophistication but, with Bunnies serving the drinks, the bar has a playful edge to it making it an ideal spot to go on a date or with friends. As long as your date doesn’t let their eyes stray too far… Open till 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, it’s never too late for Playboy Fizz cocktail or too early for a Breakfast Martini. And if it is too late, there’s always the casino to move on to, open 24/7.
