Back in January, we were sitting on a fairy lit terrace beneath the stars of Soho, armed with steaming glasses of hot gin cocktails. Our love of Sipsmith Gin has remained firm since their brief stint on the rooftop of The Ham Yard Hotel but, since then, unless you spot the swan bottle on a backbar or make your own G&Ts at home (and they’re never quite as good as when the pros do them) there was a distinct lack of Sipsmith in our lives. Until now.
Partnering up with the swanky Met Bar at Metropolitan by COMO, Sipsmith are putting on a range of cocktail masterclasses to set you up for a summer of excellent drinking. The masterclasses will kick off with a talk about the history of gin as a drink and Sipsmith as a brand (they were the first London gin distillery to open after a 200-year hiatus) which will set you up for a lifetime of impressing friends with your ‘gintelligence’. Throughout the evening each guest will enjoy three cocktails; two made by the pro mixologist and one made by you and if gin’s not really your thing, you can go for vodka. DJs will takeover at the end of the evening because, after three cocktails, you’ll probably be rearing to dance a little bit.
Sipsmith summer cocktail masterclasses at Metropolitan by COMO take place 9th June, 16th June and 23rd June at 6.30pm.
