Healthy eating is everywhere and with a recent report revealing that we are now more health conscious than ever it is no surprise that a lot of us willingly fork out an extra 50p on almond milk in our morning coffee and pay twice the price of a sandwich/crisps/coke meal deal on a courgetti and pesto salad from Whole Foods. But despite noticeable benefits in terms of energy levels and generally feeling virtuous, we don’t think much about what affect our diet has on how we look.
Health guru, Elizabeth Peyton Jones, is sharing with us her tricks of the trade at an event in the spa of Fitzrovia’s Sanderson hotel on Wednesday 13th July. With over 20 years’ experience as a naturopath and herbalist in California and London and celebrity clients including Thandie Newton, Elizabeth has been well aware of the nutritional power of food long before most of us knew the word ‘quinoa’ even existed. Sharing her wisdom in a talk and Q&A hosted by The Handbook CEO, Elly Stancliffe, the evening promises to separate fad from fact and teach you what exactly you should eat to bust stress and put a youthful spring in your step (and how not to go bankrupt in the process).
Tickets include a copy of her latest book, ‘Cook Yourself Young’ (which Elizabeth can sign for you on the night) and a goody bag which includes products from Burt’s Bees, Propercorn, Crowbar, This is Good Macadamia Nut Oil, Ape Snacks, Pip & Nut, Punch Foods, Wild West Jerky, Bounce, Heliocare Sunscreen, Rude Health, Bootcamp Pilates and Gold Collagen. The serenity of Sanderson’s agua Spa will calm even the most stressed Londoner – what better way to spend a Wednesday evening?
‘Eat Yourself Young’ with The Handbook and Elizabeth Peyton Jones takes place 6.30pm for a 7pm start on Wednesday 13th July at agua Spa, Sanderson.
