Bored of your usual Friday night? Clock strikes 5:30, jump on tube, run upstairs, shower/dry hair/dress, back on the tube, meet at your trusty (if a little samey) favourite bar and see where the night takes you after 3 Cosmopolitans.
Creatures of habit can relax. Your post-work routine can stay the same – just change the destination. Back at the start of May, The London Cabaret Club settled into their new home at the Bloomsbury Ballroom and launched their new Best of British Pop series, transporting you from the swinging sixties right up to the present day. Dancing, drinking, diamante; it’s all here and in suitably grand and theatrical surroundings – built in 1926, The Bloomsbury Ballroom this year celebrates its 90th year and the Art Deco walls come alive with projected imagery and moody lighting. Whatever your decade of choice, you can’t help but sing along to the most iconic British songs as they are performed by live singers and danced to by pros in everything from feathery headdresses to military uniforms. Different ticket packages affect where you sit but every seat in the ballroom has a great view of the central stage, as dancers move around you. A British tapas menu is available for guests to pick at whilst keeping their eyes firmly on the stage. If it’s good enough for Simon Cowell and Millie Mackintosh…
The London Cabaret Club’s Best of British Pop runs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at The Bloomsbury Ballroom. Dining begins at 8.30pm, show commences 9.15pm
