Everyone knows the story of the Jungle Book whether you’ve seen the new adaptation or not, although if you haven’t seen it what are you doing? Go and see it now. And in honour of the new release and because it’s summer and we can’t all afford to fly off to the jungle, Old Bengal Warehouse are launching a Jungle Book inspired terrace.

Part of the #BlossomCity campaign by D & D, the terrace will be bringing a touch of Madhya Pradesh (where Rudyard Kipling’s book is set) to EC2 with vibrant, themed cocktails. Mowgli is reimagined as a gin based cocktail, the Father Wolf gets all fruity and the Baloo is made with a blend of strawberries, rose water and Ketel One vodka. During Flower Hour (week days 5pm -7pm) the drinks will all be priced at £7.

Taking place across the D & D venues, #BlossomCity is a celebration of all things floral – think afternoon teas, cocktails, themed menus, pop-ups and even fashion lines, with money being raised for the charity Lady Garden. You’ll need to click here for the full #BlossomCity line up but some of the events include a Mayfair garden afternoon tea at Quaglinos, a ‘Paris in bloom’ inspired terrace at the Orrery, a flower to fork menu at the Royal Exchange and floral flavour candy floss aka candy bloss at Avenue.

Flower really does have the power.
