Fragrance Meets Alcohol with Givenchy-Inspired Cocktails

“A delicate floral base with top notes of grapefruit” could as easily refer to a cocktail as it could a perfume and in this case it actually refers to both. Hotel Café Royal are teaming up with L’Atelier de Givenchy fine fragrances for a range of cocktails as exclusive and decadent as the fragrances themselves, available for just over a month in the hotel’s iconic Green Bar.

Launching on the 22nd August, the ten cocktails have been expertly crafted by Bar Manager Derren King in close partnership with the team at Givenchy in order to achieve a full understanding of the new fine fragrance collection, Iris Harmonique. The perfume range will be exclusive to Harrods and each drink will complement the colour and flavour profile of the scents. The woody Oud Flamboyant is impressively served with light smoke and honeycomb and tastes of whiskey, coconut noir iced tea, Manuka honey and flamed cinnamon whilst the summery Chypre Caresse is slightly lighter, made with gin, freshly squeezed grapefruit, agave syrup and Peychauds Bitters, topped with Prosecco and Maraschino. The trademark cocktail bears the same name as the fragrance Iris Harmonique; a zesty blend of house infused vodka, kumquat liquor and lemon zest for an uplifting drink. If vodka isn’t your thing or you want to try them all, each of the ten cocktails is available alochol-free.

The Parfums Givenchy cocktails are available at Hotel Café Royal’s Green Bar, midday to midnight from Monday 22nd August until Friday 30th September.
