We all know that if there is one event in any Londoner’s weekend calendar it’s brunch. Sometimes, though, you want something more than just your usual brunch, you want something with a little more decadence than your usual avocado on toast.
For when that happens we have the brunch for you – Oblix on the 32nd level of the Shard. Things get off to an indulgent start with a glass of Champagne before moving on to three courses. The menu is a mix of deli counter favourites and classic dishes so think of this as a brunch feast. To start there’ll be black cod fishcakes with lemon gel, truffled devilled eggs as well as Parma ham and artichoke bruschetta.
For main course you have new twists on classic brunch dishes, so yes there are omelettes but they aren’t just be any old omelettes, they’re lobster and king crab omelettes. Eggs Royale is finished with caviar and you’ll find grilled sourdough, scrambled duck eggs and smoked duck ham and chorizo tortilla with quail eggs, sauerkraut and saffron hollandaise.
For pudding there’s tiramisu, sweet potato pie or flourless chocolate cake. After eating all that we prescribe a long walk by the Thames or a nap to sleep it all off….
Brunch at Oblix is available on Saturday and Sunday
