2nd Chance Charity Supper

The future, a.k.a the youth of today have been hit with a sucker punch by austerity. Making the step onto a career ladder is difficult and stepping onto a desired career ladder is a rarity. This being the landscape, two celebrity chefs and charity 2nd Chance are heading to The Bingham to provide something delicious and auspicious.

Chefs, Paul Merrett and Eric Grignard will be collaborating with 2nd Chance, a specialist ‘education to employment’ training course to support 18-24 year olds on their journey to a career, to deliver a charity dinner. The guest chefs will be creating the 4-course menu, while the 2nd Chance trainees will be cooking and serving it under the guidance of the renowned cooks.

The seasonal menu will be comprised of a starter of beetroot and London Gin-cured salmon followed by a fish course of hake roasted in Serrano ham served with smoked chorizo risotto. Guests will then enjoy slow-cooked breast of guinea fowl with shallot puree and fondant potato and finishing with a pudding of; spiced almond and poppy seed cake with Greek yoghurt. All the funds raised will be go toward the training placements which offer the opportunity to gain experience, skills and qualifications required to  make the initial step into employment

Set at the restored Georgian townhouse hotel overlooking the Thames, this is a rare evening where fine dining comes hand in hand with essential support.

The 2nd Chance Charity Supper will take place on the 5th October at The Bingham Hotel, Richmond
