The Handbook
The Handbook

Walk around the streets of Shoreditch this Autumn and you’re going to feel like you’re further east (and a little bit further south) than you actually are. Munich to be precise. Oktoberfest is being celebrated all over the city and despite the last minute, unforeseen cancellation of the 2015 London festivities at Tobacco Dock, 2016 is looking brighter.

The renowned German festival is coming to The Frog E1 in a collage of big bratwurst, giant pretzels and beer-filled steins; all the iconic elements that bring warmth and comfort to a crisp, dark evening. Pioneering the three-week long celebrations is Head Chef, Adam Handling, who’ll be serving up the Bavarian treats with his own signature twist. The Frog’s covered terrace is your refuge from the nip and chill where the steins will be filled with 1 litre of authentic German beer (The Weihenstephan Helles and the The Weihenstephan Fester) from the world’s oldest brewery, the gourmet bratwursts will be nestled in a soft white roll adorned with crisp onions and German mustard, while the freshly baked and gourmet giant pretzels will be ready and waiting to transport you to Munich.

Beer, bratwurst and giant pretzels and, on the 1st October, a live DJ to provide a soundtrack to your evening… what more can you ask for?

Oktoberfest at The Frog E1 runs from 28th September-19th October
