London is looking good right now. It’s still sunny, there is that renewed back to school feeling as summer finishes and autumn starts. The leaves are turning golden, it’s feeling more crisp but we haven’t hit the miserable, rainy season yet. So there is still time to go for drinks outside and we know where we are heading too – Sanderson’s Enchanted Hanging Garden.
They’ve teamed up with Perrier Jouët to create a garden in their famous courtyard, plants will be floating, suspended and adorning the living wall. At the heart of the garden will sit a striking string centre piece which is designed to illustrate the connections made when we talk to each other. That’s right, talk, not tweet, insta or Whatsapp – so put your phone away.
They’ll be serving botanical Champagne cocktails which you can personalise with different liqueurs such as mixed berry, pear and elderflower and orgeat and ratafia; there’ll also be kaffir and lime leaves and edible flowers. To accompany will be a new menu which features tempura bell rock oysters with watermelon, coriander and mint; butternut squash risotto balls with cumin and spiced mayonnaise and salt baked beets with goat’s curd.
The Enchanted Hanging Garden is now open at the Sanderson and will be until January 2017.
