It’s Monday morning so you might not want to think about cocktails right now, but sorry this is a special occasion. It’s the start of the seventh London Cocktail Week! The Cocktail Village will be back with over 200 bars from across London serving up cocktails for £5 (but make sure you have your LCW pass, get them on the website) and there will be events happening across the city – we would list them all here, but that would be a very long list, so here are five our favourite events happening this week!
Jones Family Project: The Shoreditch bar and restaurant will be transforming their downstairs into an airport themed pop-up and will be serving 5 different cocktails to LCW wristband wearers including The Jet Stream and Aviation.
South Place Hotel: The Secret Garden Bar will transformed into Le Jardin de Chambord into a little slice of the tropics. Along with their flamingos and Chambord cocktails there’ll also be treats like dark chocolate truffles filled with chocolate ganache and seasoned with the black raspberry liqueur as well as crisp macarons with a crème de mure cream. It’s also opened until the end of October.
Cahoots: Cahoots will have a vintage train carriage pop-up bar at the Cocktail Village that will be serving up Bombay Sapphire cocktails which have been inspired by the Famous Five – cocktails will include the likes of The Captain Heads to the Seaside! And when you buy a cocktail at Cocktail Village you will get a ticket which means you can head on over to Cahoots in Soho where you’ll get speedy entry and a complimentary night tube cocktail after 11pm!
Wright Brothers Spitalfields: For the week, The Market Terrace won’t be The Market Terrace, it’ll be the Fentimans’ Apothecary, a botanical hideaway, inspired by the botanics used in Fentimans’ botanically brewed beverages. There’ll be a special cocktail menu created by Wright Brothers, Barcardi and Fentimans and on the 5th October they’ll be hosting a gin and tonic masterclass!
108 Brasserie: Not only is it London Cocktail Week but it is also native oyster season – (remember there is an R in the month) so 108 Bar in Marylebone is combining both with their Sip and Snack. For just £10 you can order the Black Velvet made from Guinness and Prosecco and served with a Colchester Native Oyster – cheers to that.
London Cocktail Week will be running 3rd -9th October across London.
