Bobbi Brown’s Anniversary Afternoon Tea at Balthazar

Bobbi Brown’s Anniversary Afternoon Tea at Balthazar

The ritual of afternoon tea is one treasured by all. This Winter, paying homage to her eponymous cosmetic company and its 25th anniversary, Bobbi Brown is hosting her ‘party edition’ afternoon tea at American French brasserie Balthazar, following on from its popularity first time round – Instagram was flooded with those make-up shaped macaroons.

Taking inspiration from the iconic make up line, Balthazar’s Head Pastry Chef, Régis Beauregard has created an abundance of delicate cakes and pastries. Examples include the Hollywood Red Gloss lips, made of vanilla yogurt mousse filled with rosewater jelly on a base of sponge, and the blueberry and lemon Smokey Eye Mascara which looks uncannily like the real deal. There are also cakes inspired by shimmer palates and creams, because no afternoon tea is complete without cake. As with all afternoon teas, there’ll be sandwiches, scones and endless pots of tea and of course, there’ll be alcohol in the form of ‘Bobbi’s Sparkle’; Sipsmith gin, elderflower, lemon and Champagne. Treating yourself doesn’t stop here; the products that inspired the cakes will all be available to purchase in a limited edition and guests will receive an invitation for a personalised “How To” make-up lesson at all Bobbi Brown London Studios.

Bobbi Brown’s gone all out with her celebrations – it’s her 25th anniversary plus it’s Christmas so get your glam on and join in on the festivities.

The Bobbi Brown Afternoon Tea will run until February 2017
