Meditation – it seems as if everyone’s doing it. The benefits are countless so it’s no surprise it’s become so popular. Founded by Will Williams of Will Williams Meditation, The Gathering is an evening of conversation, meditation and live music and they’ll be hosting an event this month.
Don’t worry if you’ve never meditated before, Will Williams himself will be there guiding the audience and for those of you who are seasoned pros, why not meditate en masse! Besides the meditation, there’ll be a lot more at the event. There’ll be a conversation and q&a with actress, author, comedian and mental health campaigner Ruby Wax. With a masters degree in cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness it is safe to say Ruby knows a bit about meditation; her discussion is expected to educate as well as alleviate. The event is not just education and meditation – songwriter/producer Ethan Johns will be performing on the stage. He’s worked with some of the biggest artists (Sir Paul McCartney and Kings of Leon to name a few), but his own style is a little more folky and poetic. As well as all that, there’ll be food and unlimited teas on offer.
Making the time for a full meditation retreat can be hard, but there’s no need for that as The Gathering offers it all.
The Gathering will be held on 15th November, 7-10:30pm at Cecil Sharp House.
