When The Nutcracker Met The Sugar Plum Fairy

Now while we’re all anticipating a visit from a certain Father Christmas, we are neglecting someone special…a rather sweet lady. Of course we speak of the Sugar Plum Fairy but while we haven’t been in touch recently she’s been off sprinkling her magic over at London Hilton on Park Lane, specifically over their afternoon tea.

The quintessential English classic has been given a Nutcracker make-over with the likes of an iced soldier biscuit, snowman macaron with coconut and white chocolate, and a cupcake turned into a Christmas tree with pistachio and raspberry flavoured icing. The special sweets are joined by freshly prepared sandwiches, iced, plain, fruit and chocolate chip scones served with strawberry jam, Rodda’s clotted cream, and a chocolate and clementine spread. Diners can choose to wash this all down with a carefully chosen selection of Twinings’ teas and even upgrade to a Champagne Afternoon Tea with a glass of Pommery Champagne.

After all this you’ll be needing to make sure that your next visit from a fairy isn’t the Tooth Fairy.
