When it comes to the festive season, we all find ourselves reaching for that extra mince pie, or that extra slab of cheese or that extra glass of wine…yep, it’s a common tendency to indulge, or should we say overindulge at the end of the year. While the indulgence is excusable (or so we keep telling ourselves), we can understand if you crave a break from it. Lucky for you, Indian restaurant Chai Ki are serving up a recovery brunch; using vitamin/antioxidant-packed ingredients, the new menu does exactly what it says on the tin.
Try the curry leaf turmeric scrambled eggs – we already know of the health benefits of eggs, turmeric is unparalleled in it’s benefits while curry leaves are full of vitamins. Or maybe try the Full Nashta, an Eastern take on the full English complete with aloo tikki hash and masala beans – made with the restaurant founder’s secret family spice blend which not only is full of flavour but full of goodness too. Continue last night’s party with a strawberry chai or peach almond bellini or revitalise with any of their juices, like the orange, carrot and turmeric. A Bloody Mary never goes amiss after a heavy night and Chai Ki’s version, the Reincarnation Bloody Mary – made with a blend of house spices – is sure to kick those gears into motion.
Forgive yourself if you have that extra glass of mulled wine at your Christmas party, because the recovery brunch at Chai Ki will more than make up for that.
Chai Ki’s Recovery Brunch Menu is available every weekend from 10am – 4pm
