Just like Christmas Day, Boxing Day has its traditions. We gorge on sandwiches made from leftovers and all those chocolate boxes we got from family members who didn’t know what to get us. This is also done from the comfort of our favourite spot on the sofa; but this year may well be the year for leaving tradition for a while – it has been a rollercoaster of a year anyway – because Gaucho are continuing the festivities with their Boxing Day brunch.
The menu has been designed so diners can order any dish as many times as they like, yes, really as many times as you like (we’ll be at the gym in January too, we promise). Indulge on dishes like bubble and squeak with chimichurri; oven baked pigs in blankets with plum tomatoes, eggs and mushrooms; and sausagemeat stuffing sandwich. Pudding comes in the form of panettone – far better than those chocolate coins we’d say!
Remedy your hangover with, you guessed it, more alcohol! A Bloody Mary never fails to sort a sorry self out, but, rather than that, indulge in the decadent hot chocolate on offer, made up from Monkey Shoulder whisky, Christmas spices and dulce de leche chocolate. It’s one surefire way to end the year on a high.
The brunch menu will be served at Gaucho Piccadilly and Gaucho Tower Bridge from 11am-3pm on 26th December
