A Tai Chi menu at a restaurant? No, it is not a list of Tai Chi moves to choose from, but a menu of healthy Asian dishes. The menu has been created by Executive Chef Ping Coombes, of Masterchef fame, aiming to embrace the philosophy of Tai Chi in food form.
The menu promotes health, wellbeing and most importantly, balance – much like Tai Chi. So to balance out the healthy chicken and Chinese herb soup with goji berries, enjoy a deep fried tuna and avocado sushi roll. Or to balance out the quinoa salad with cucumber, cherry tomato, egg, spring onion and baby spinach, enjoy a deep fried salmon, avocado and asparagus maki roll. Keep the hand gestures to a minimum and avoid the high kick because here it’s all about the food.
Health need not be constant diets and exercise, throw in a deep fried thing or two for balance. Just like the ancient Chinese did.
The ‘Tai Chi’ menu is available from 2nd to 22nd January, for both lunch and dinner.
