Pay tribute to one of Scotland’s national treasures at Stevie Parle’s Craft London this January. The restaurant is known for their collaborations and they’ve teamed up with Compass Box, specialists in small batch innovative whiskies, for their Burns Night celebration. Celebrating Scottish poet Robert Burns, festivities often include quintessentially Scottish foods and activities and the celebration at Craft London is no different.
Indeed guests will dine on haggis, neeps and tatties (with a whisky sauce). But besides the haggis, the menu also offers pickled herring with fermented cuttlefish; cod and carrots with mead sauce; and peat monster cured salmon. To end, there’s Ecclefechan tart with hedonism whisky cream and buttermilk ice cream. All dishes have been expertly paired with whiskies and Compass Box’s Brand Ambassador Herman Van Broekhuizen will be there to talk through each of his choices with you, though we have a feeling it may be a little difficult to pay attention after that much whisky…
Craft London will be partaking in all the usual Burns Nights traditions; there’ll be poetry readings, the traditional addressing of haggis and yet more whisky. So don your finest tartan and celebrate the life of one of Scotland’s most prolific writers in the way any self-respecting Scot would – with lots of haggis and whisky.
