The De-Light Menu at The Balcon

A three-course menu at any restaurant; a delicious fare, certainly, but sometimes not the healthiest and when it comes to the calories we’ve consumed, well, to be honest we’d rather just not know. Enter the De-Light menu at The Balcon. The restaurant’s chefs have worked with dieticians to create a whole range of healthy, lighter but still delicious dishes. Steering away from indulgent cooking techniques, the’ve employed techniques such as steaming and poaching, using lean meat, fish and vegetables with spices and herbs to plate up nourishing yet just as flavourful dishes.

The dishes change seasonally, but the current offering includes poached chicken broth with coriander and orzo noodle soup; roasted rabbit leg with herb-braised puy lentils and green beans; and coconut and mango pan cotta with fresh raspberries. The best part? You can enjoy all three of those dishes and it’d only clock in at 685 calories – no, we’re not joking. In fact, you can mix and match from the entire menu and you won’t exceed 700 calories.

Sticking to that healthy regime won’t be so hard after all.
