We Meat Again: Meatopia Returns to Tobacco Docks

We Meat Again: Meatopia Returns to Tobacco Docks

Thick cut steaks, burgers and smoked racks of ribs, no this is not an advert for M&S, but a public service announcement: Meatopia UK is back. The event, scheduled for September 2017, sees the return of Meatopia to London’s Tobacco Dock to host a legendary line-up of chefs from around the world. Yes, we know it’s not even Spring yet, but tickets have just gone on sale so get in there whilst you can.

The carnivorous congregation will see chefs, restaurateurs and gourmands uniting over ethically sourced meat, cooked fresh over fires (no mircowaves, no propane, but actual fires).  The event welcomes artisan ales and fine wines, as well as Craftopia; a dedicated craft beer hall hosted by Melissa Cole for a true taste of London in autumn.

With previous chefs including the likes of Stockholm’s Niklas Ekstedt, New York’s Angie Mar, and legendary Argentinian chef Francis Mallmann, the guest chefs this year have yet to be announced, but we are predicting nothing but the best.

Not only does the event boast stellar food, there will also be butchery demos, informal workshops, street theatre, art installations, chef talks, DJs and live performances. A weekend-long event we can’t wait to sink our teeth into.

Over 18s Only. Tickets on sale from 1 February 2017. Meatopia runs from Friday 1 – Sunday 3 September 2017 at London’s Tobacco Docks.
