When the Sethi siblings launched Motu Kitchen last Autumn, they set a new standard for Friday night takeaways everywhere. The food delivery service, created by the family behind Michelin-starred Gymkhana and Trishna and the award-winning Hoppers, brought quality Indian cuisine to SW Londoners from their first kitchen in Battersea and later to SE inhabitants with their second site in Camberwell. Now, once again, the team are out to fire up a food frenzy in another part of town as they announce a third addition to the Motu Kitchen line-up in Canary Wharf.
The new site will dispatch Motu’s signature Feast boxes, inspired by traditional tiffins used to distribute meals to workers across Indian cities, to homes and offices in the surrounding area including Millwall, Limehouse, Poplar and Cubitt Town for lunch and dinner. The boxes, which have been hugely popular among the other kitchen’s customers, will feature classics like lamb shank roganjosh, madras prawn masala and tandoori mixed grill as well as daily specials such as whole tandoori chicken, all including a selection of sides including naan, pilau rice, mango chutney and kachumber raita. The Canary Wharf kitchen will also offer exclusive dishes such as samosa pao, tandoori paneer naan roll and Indo-Chinese chilli paneer, all packed full of flavour and that signature Sethi va va voom we know and love.
With another notch in the Motu Kitchen belt bringing more Londoners a taste of distinguished Indian cuisine, we can’t help but wonder where the team will take their enterprise next. For now though, you’ll find us eagerly anticipating that knock on the door with our very own delicious Feast box.
Motu Kitchen, Canary Wharf opens for orders on February 20th
